FOR NEW APPLICANT FAMILIES
When you click on the link you will be brought to the HALB DDC parent portal. Please click “Register” and you will be prompted to create an account and then you will be directed to the admissions module.
 
If you do not have all the information at the time of filling out the application you are able to save your application, and submit it when you are ready.
When applying, please keep in mind the following information:
 
Personal interviews are scheduled for those who completed their online applications.  If you have not yet submitted it, please do so as soon as possible. There is a fee of $100 due with the application. After you receive confirmation that your son’s application has been received, call our Director of Admissions, Sue Weinberg at (516) 295-7700 x102 to schedule an interview. Please note that the application deadline is Sunday, December 4.  

Interviews are 40 minutes in duration. Students and parents will meet separately with Rabbi Kaminetsky our Menahel, and Dr. Zadoff, our General Studies Principal.  Students will be asked to read 20 lines of gemara and to write an essay in English on a topic provided. 

All applicants are required to take the JSAT Exam. If your son’s school does not administer the JSAT, you may register at www.cojds.org/events. Click on “Out of Network Students”. You have a choice to take it on November 21 or December 6th. Please note that your son must complete the Gemara section of the exam.

The JSAT Level 8, produced by the Consortium of Jewish Day Schools, is the required uniform Judaic Studies exam. As per JEP recruiting guidelines, letters of notification regarding acceptance will be emailed on Tuesday, February 16th, 2023 only to students who have fully completed the application and interview process.
 
TUITION ASSISTANCE PROCESS

To apply for financial aid, please login to Parent Locker by clicking here. In order to complete your financial aid application, we will need the following information:
 
TUITION ASSISTANCE PROCESS
Please log into the FACTS website to complete the tuition assistance forms online. After the online forms have been completed, the following information must be uploaded to FACTS to finalize the process:
  • Parent Locker application
  • 2023 W2 for both parents (if applicable)
  • 2022 1040 tax return (or 2023 if you have already filed)
  • If you are self-employed, 2022 or 2023 Schedule C
  • Copy of primary bank statements for the last 9 months
  • Copy of primary credit card statements for the last 9 months
  • Most recent mortgage/rent statement for primary residence
  • Most recent car lease/loan statement for all vehicles
  • 2023 year end statements for all brokerage, investment, and stock portfolios
  • 2023 year end retirement account statement
  • Credit report for each parent/guardian 
 
The deadline for families with an incoming High School student for tuition assistance applications is Friday, December 29, 2023 in order to be considered for the 2024-25 school year. TRANSPORTATION
 
The DRS Yeshiva High School for Boys is easily accessible to residents throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Private bus transportation can be arranged for students in Queens and Brooklyn in the following geographic locations: Forest Hills, Flatbush, Flushing, Kew Gardens, Marine Park and Midwood.
